Rocks, Pots and Shamrocks

Rocks, Pots and Shamrocks

With spring and St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, we decided to celebrate a little early. Our Irish lad and lass got into the Celtic spirit by coloring rocks with gold and glitter, painting plant pots with rainbow colors, and pulling and planting shamrocks from the backyard. This craft project is super easy and makes for great weekend fun with the kids. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Rocks
  • Gold paint
  • Gold glitter glue
  • Paint in assorted rainbow colors
  • Plant pots
  • Paintbrushes
  • Shamrocks/clovers from your yard
  • Soil

We used acrylic paints from our art supply stash, but you can use patio paint or all-natural powdered pigments (more eco-friendly) if you want the design to last longer. We already had a ton of rocks too, so with just a few brushes, paint and glitter, we were off to work in no time.

You can use these pots year-round for any occasion. Don’t forget to wear something green on St. Patrick’s Day!
